Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and construct the Mulsanne. The main reason for this lengthy effort is a deliberate decision to adopt the latest technology. Instead of using a machine to space the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, rather than using sensors built into the vehicle to direct them to parallel and perpendicular spots.

At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities with a special example - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars have 100 of them. a special key that displays a portion of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
